Recently the FBI along with other US regulatory and government agencies met in the Hague along with European counterparts to discuss the growing problem of Binary Options fraud. The FBI does not just view this problem as an American problem but a global one. The FBI is working closely with law enforcement and agencies around the world to investigate and tackle the problem of binary options fraud. The FBI has been coordinating with US regulators like the SEC and CFTC in its pursuit of fraudulent binary options brokers.
FBI Says All Binary Options Players are Being Watched
In a recent interview in the Times of Israel, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was asked specifically about backend providers Spotoption and Panda. The response was that it does not comment on ongoing and active investigations but that it will not be limited in its scope. It also would be open to seeking extradition of any individuals that participating are involved in fraudulent activity.
FBI Will Work in Conjunction with Merchant Services
The Federal Bureau of Investigation also said they will work directly with merchant providers in identifying Binary Options Brokers that are operating fraudulently and have them shut down. The fact that now the FBI has inserted itself into the investigative process indicates that the mess created by Israeli-based binary options brokers is far worse than anyone imagined.
Binary Options Fraud a Global Problem
It looks like there is now an all-out war against binary options fraudsters from law enforcement around the globe. The question remains as to where these bad brokers will try and move too next. The ability to operate has gotten that much more difficult for these brokers with more merchant providers refusing to offer transactions for binary options and hostile regulators mean the end could be near for the binary options industry.
